Outside Baker Street tube station, a statue of a fictional person. Well, why not? London has a statue of a boy who flies; and a Peruvian bear who can talk and wears glasses. Not forgetting a sign to Platform 9¾ at Kings Cross Station. And, according to a large round purple disk on the railings, this statue talks. "Be amazed", it reads. I didn't have time to listen to Sherlock Holmes' current views as he looks around modern London.
