Peace Hotel on the Bund, Shanghai, China.
This image was taken a few days before the October 1st celebration of modern China's National Day, and each of the historic buildings along the Bund carried a bright red banner such as is seen here. This banner reads "Try hard to make Shanghai into an international center of economy, finance, commerce, and navigation"
Image taken late September, 2002 by Leonard G. and geometrically corrected with an image processing program.
