Description
English: Sgt. Maj. Abelardo Flores, former sergeant major, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), displays his rear-rotor helicopter blade, at Al Asad, Iraq, April 29. The blade had been transformed into a retirement plaque by Staff Sgt. John A. Flores. John is a career retention specialist, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, MAG-16, and paints used helicopter blades and transforms them into Marine Corps memorabilia. He is a San Antonio native.
