Description
English: Şeyh Çabuk Mosque, Mardin: tomb inside the mosque


Notes: I'm not sure whose tomb this is, but the signs seem to indicate it's "Abdullah bin Enes el Cüheyni", a "messenger" or companion of the Prophet Muhammad. whether this is his actual burial place I'm not sure, as he was believed to have died in Damascus. I'm not sure if the name "Şeyh Çabuk" is an allusion to him or some later Sufi sheikh. Behind the tomb is a posted picture of a footprint of the Prophet Muhammad kept at the Topkapi Palace Museum today. I'm not sure if the footprint is supposed to have a specific relation to this mosque or the posted picture is just a religious gesture.
