Source Survivors of Partition of the Indian Subcontinent donated/shared these artifacts that were family heirlooms for generations after hearing about The ISPaD Project and its new effort to create a Partition Studies Museum. The ISPaD Project was approached by the families these artifacts belonged to, respecting ISPaD as an NGO and trusting these items would be kept safely and perhaps even put on display for the public to appreciate these works of art that had the beauty to be used exclusively on "special occasions".
