Description
English: Seth Louis Shaw, painted by his brother, the portraitist of Gold Rush San Francisco, Stephen William Shaw (December 15, 1817 – February 12, 1900). Seth Shaw traveled overland in the California Gold Rush, pioneered with Stephen in the Eel River Valley of far northern California, became the first postmaster of Ferndale, California and the builder of the Shaw House on the U.S. National Historic Register.
