English: Sequoiadendron giganteum Redwoods in the Younger Botanic Garden, Benmore. Sequoia, giant redwood, wellingtonia; this is the largest tree species in the world by timber volume. Native to California, the tree is often found as an ornamental tree, often because of age, much smaller than these specimens. They have a lot of growth ahead of them still. |
