Description

Looking north. Item 2884, Engineering Department Photographic Negatives (Record Series 2613-07), Seattle Municipal Archives. Seattle Municipal Archives changed its URL scheme circa 2022; the older URLs beginning with "clerk" are deprecated, and will eventually fail. The following search should find item number 2884 in their new database: http://archives.seattle.gov/digital-collections/index.php/Search/objects/search/num%253A2884+AND+ca_objects.type_id%253A23 .

This is an image of a building or other location within the Pioneer Square-Skid Road Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district has been successively enlarged, and hence has multiple NRHP IDs: 70000086, 78000341, and 88000739
English: Looking north (actually, slightly west of north) from Second Avenue & Washington Street in 1928, shortly before the construction of Second Avenue Extension continued the portion of Second Avenue seen straight ahead in the photo along a straight line in the direction of the point of view.
