Summary[edit]

Description

Item 1 from 1920 Engineering Department Annual Report (Record Series 1802-G2), Seattle Municipal Archives.

English: Proposed street usage for Central Avenue in the south part of Seattle, 1920. The plan was never put in place and Central Avenue is no more, preempted by the construction of Boeing Field in 1928. (A few short bits retain the name "Central Avenue".)
Here are two maps from the period showing Central Avenue: http://archives.seattle.gov/digital-collections/index.php/Detail/objects/20843, http://archives.seattle.gov/digital-collections/index.php/Detail/objects/20841.
