| Description |
 English: Earthquake damage, 105-109 Second Avenue S., Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, 1949. This building had been built in 1890 by J.H. Sanderson, who had also built the building housing the Merchant's Cafe. Buildings at center and right each ultimately lost its upper story. At right is the Owens Building/Montana Hotel and beyond that is the Metropole Building. The damage is presumably from the 1949 Olympia earthquake, which struck just two weeks prior.
