Summary[edit]

Description
English: Shrunken heads in the permanent collection of Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, Seattle, Washington. According to Kate Duncan's book 1001 Curious Things, these are probably a mix of real and fake. Shop founder J. E. "Daddy" Standley thought they were all real, but was probably conned on some of them.

An anomymous contributor adds (2014-11-11), "As a shrunken head expert I can tell you that those are all authentic human shrunken heads in that photo, except for the largest head, which is a over-modeled human skull, a human skull with mud overlayed." Possibly. Caveat lector in terms of an uncited claim like that from an anonymous self declared expert.
