Summary[edit]

Description
English: Sculpture at Mount Batten. These granite blocks are believed to have come from a wet dock in Devonport Naval Base which was being rebuilt at the time, and now separate the footpath from a boat parking area. On top of each stone is a replica stonemasons' tool, and the rusty steel signs illustrate Captain Bernard's Nautical Telegraph Code Book, details of which can be found in 1217541. Behind is the Cattewater. See also 1217541, 1217517 and 1217547.
