| Description | “The smells – mold, sewage, whatever is in the water – were overwhelming. Most of these houses were completely waterlogged with 6 to 7 feet of flooding. Couches that weigh 200 pounds were now soaked and weighed 1,000 pounds. We dragged people’s entire lives out of their houses to salvage anything and then stripped off the dry wall to keep the mold from spreading. It was demolition at a scale I’ve never seen before.” |
