| Description |
English: Scots pine on Hincheslea Moor, New Forest. A view north from the path that runs along the sandy ridge from Horseshoe Earth to Hincheslea Wood. Apart from the usual heather there is the occasional Scots pine, like the one in this picture, which have no need of growing tall and straight (as they do in the inclosures). It looks like it has offspring (in the centre of the photo). |
