Description
English: Early Gothic statue of archangel Michael slaying the dragon (13th century) in the Romanesque entrance hall of the Saint Michael church in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. Photograph taken with soft daylight. Hint: We should not make the colours of this image too vivid – one the first glance, vivid colours would look more appealing, but they would be wrong, because the original colours are rather subdued.
Deutsch: Frühgotische Statue des Erzengels Michael als Drachentöter (13. Jahrhundert) in der romanischen Turmvorhalle der Kirche St. Michael in Schwäbisch Hall. Aufnahme mit gedämpftem Tageslicht. Hinweis: Bei der Bildbearbeitung wurde darauf geachtet, die zurückhaltenden Farben nicht zu stark „aufzudrehen“, wodurch ein zwar auf den ersten Blick attraktiverer, aber falscher Eindruck entstehen würde, da die originalen Farben eher zurückhaltend sind.
