Summary[edit]

Description
English: U.S. Senator Carl Schurz has a monkey, which looks like New York Tribune editor Horace Greeley, hoisted to his face, and he is looking it eye to eye. The monkey is attached by a line to a box (presumably an organ grinder's instrument) which has the inscription “THIS IS NOT AN ORGAN.” The monkey has a paper attached to its tail which says “GRATZ BROWN” (Greeley's running mate).
