Description
Deutsch: Das Schloß wurde auf den Grundmauern der "Stahlburg" erbaut. Die Stahleburg wurde wahrscheinlich um 1200 erbaut und brannte komplett nieder. Sie wurde 1244 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. 1564 erwarb Kurfürst August I. die Burg und sie wurde Jagdschloss.Das damals hier untergebrachte Amtsgefängnis mit dazugehöriger Folterkammer befand sich im Turm auf dem "Hohen Eck" , nach dem das Schloss heute benannt ist. 1861/62 wurde hier die königlich-sächsische Weiberzuchtanstalt Hoheneck eingerichtet, die während der DDR Zeit als Gefängnis für politische Häftlinge genutzt wurde und zu zweifelhaften Ruhm kam. Einer der Wachtürme.
