Summary[edit]

Description
English: Schematic of the AIDA mission concept shows ESA’s AIM spacecraft in orbit about the binary asteroid (65803) Didymos. AIM would arrive several months before NASA’s DART would impact Didymos’ smaller companion. Post-impact observations from both the AIM spacecraft and Earth-based planetary radar would, in turn, measure the change in the moonlet’s orbit about the parent body.
