Summary[edit]

Description
English: Scenic View from North Esplanade Park in Leavenworth, Kansas, shows the Missouri River underneath Centennial Bridge/Kansas Highway 92. The river is shown at flood stage, 22 feet. Following heavy snowfall up north, the Army Corps of Engineers allowed additional water from Gavin's Point Dam in South Dakota, leading to flooding throughout the Missouri River Basin. North Esplanade Park and Centennial Bridge are high ground in Leavenworth that do not flood.
