A scarecrow dummy in the form of an Evzonas, a Greek soldier dressed in traditional clothing.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Crops in Greece tend to include scarecrows. This one, on a crop field in the island of Lemnos, Greece, has the form of an Evzonas, a Greek soldier dressed in traditional clothing. Its arms have the shape of oars, so the dummy rotates depending on the wind's direction. In the left arm it is written, in Greek calligraphic script "Long live madness" (Ζήτω η τρέλλα), while in the right arm it is written "Long live Lemnos" (Ζήτω η Λήμνος).
