Description
English: European Stonechat Saxicola rubicola, Serbia
Српски / srpski: D.t. 12–13 cm. Rasprostranjena je u zapadnoj, centralnoj i južnoj Evropi, umerenoj i centralnoj Aziji, delovima Bliskog Istoka, Male Azije, severne i podsaharske Afrike. Selica je, osim u zapadnim i južnim delovima Evrope. Naseljava suvlja travnata staništa, često sa oskudnom vegetacijom, stepe, mozaična poljoprivredna područja, ruderalna staništa (nasipe, pruge, pojaseve trave oko puteva, zapuštena industrijska postrojenja, kamenolome i kopove peska ili šljunka) i dr. Gnezdi se na tlu. Hrani se pretežno insektima i paucima. Trend evropske populacije je umereni porast. U Srbiji se gnezdi 6.000–9.000 parova, a populacija je u porastu (Puzović et al 2009).
