| Description |
My old Honda, underneath a huge Sawgrass Expressway road sign. Photo taken with a Canon AE-1, Kodak Tri-X film, a Canon f/1.8 55mm lens, in July 1992. Sign is no longer extant, as most of these perfectly good signs were replaced around 1995-96, in an attempt to eradicate the phrase "Sawgrass Expressway". Just before I took this photo, I never quite realized how large these signs were. I figured "Maybe I can drive my car between those posts?" As this was summertime in Florida, driving onto the grass in a vehicle that is not designed for off-road use isn't very smart, but fortunately, it was dry. Otherwise, I'd have photographic evidence of how silly I was. |
