Summary[edit]
DescriptionSaturn (5552081090).jpg |
My best saturn capture, this time with correct looking colors. :-) The color information was obtained using Astronomik RGB filters that fully block UV and IR. Each color channel had about 5000 frames with roughly half of those used for final stacking in AviStack2. Colors were merged using Photoshop. Altitude at the time of capture was 29 degrees. The gap in the rings is called the cassini division, named after the person that first noted it. There is currently a storm in the upper atmosphere however it was on the other side of the planet at the time of capture. |
