日本語: 日本で古来より仏舎利（釈迦の遺骨）の代替品と用いられる舎利石を生み出す「舎利母石」（しゃりぶいし／しゃりのははいし）と呼ばれる非常に希少な岩石。溶岩が固まる際に内部のガスで気泡ができ、その空洞に二酸化ケイ素が結晶化してできる。舎利石はこの瑪瑙の粒で、舎利母石は舎利石を内包した岩石の名称（またはその状態の岩石）のことを表す。青森県今別町のかつて舎利浜と呼ばれたその浜で採れたが、近代化により護岸はコンクリートで覆われ消波ブロックを設置され。海岸の上には国道２８０号線が走り浜が消失したことにより、舎利浜産の舎利石および舎利母石は幻の石と呼ばれることも有る。そもそも発見自体がとても困難であり、高値で取引されることもあるという。
English: A very rare rock called "sha-boishi" (shabu-ishi / ha-no-haishi) that produces a shari-stone that is used as an alternative to stupa (a shakurin's remains) since ancient times in Japan. When the lava solidifies, the internal gas forms a bubble, and silicon dioxide crystallizes in the cavity. A stone is a grain of this moss, and a stone represents the name of a rock containing the stone (or a rock in that state). It was taken at that beach, which was once called Sarihama in Imabetsu Town, Aomori Prefecture, but the revetment was covered with concrete and modernized and a wave-dissipating block was installed by modernization. As National Route 280 runs on the coast and the beach disappears, shari-hama stone and stone stone may be called a phantom stone. It is said that discovery itself is very difficult in the first place, and it is sometimes traded at high prices.
