English: Saraswati ist the Hindu Goddess of learning, speech and arts, in her left hand her instrument, the vina (here in the form of a tampura). The Vitarka Mudra is the hand gesture of teaching and discussion. An Altar on Vasant Panchami, the festival of the goddess.
Norsk nynorsk: Sarasvati, den hinduistiske gudinna for lærdom, tale og kunst, på eit altar laga til vasant pantsjami. I venstre hand held ho ein vina medan den høgre former gesten vitarka mudra, som symboliserer undervising og diskusjon.
Deutsch: Saraswati ist die hinduistische Göttin des Lernens, der Sprache und der Künste. In ihrer linken Hand hält sie ihr Instrument, die Vina. Die Vitarka Mudra ist die Handgeste des Lehrens und der Diskussion. Dieses Bild zeigt sie auf einem Altar zu Vasant Panchami, dem wichtigsten Fest der Göttin. |
