Both monochrome and colorhard copy units are available. The paragraphs that follow describeeach of these units in more detail. 1.5.3.1 Monochrome Hard Copy Unit. A monochrome hard copy unitproduces paper copies from standard, raster scan video signals ofrefreshed graphic terminals. The unit produces high contrast blackand white or gray scale copies within seconds, using a clean, dryprocess. The unit is completely self contained, has a built-in ■ •stacking tray, and is mounted on casters for portability. A typicalmonochrome hard copy unit is shown in figure 1-15.
