Summary[edit]

Description View of a sand-bag aircraft revetment at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Ewa, Territory of Hawaii, circa in October 1941. These were the first built in the Hawaiian Area, between September and October 1941. Plans for 93 more were put on paper and awaiting material and permission to get underway when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. However, the revetments were not used, as the planes were parked in the open to prevent sabotage.
