Description
English: Church of San Salvador, in Venice - Altar of Saint Nicholas - It was originally dedicated to St. Nicholas in 1751 and was rebuilt after a fire that had occurred ten years earlier, which had destroyed the Barco above the main gate. The altarpiece shows a painting depicting St. Nicholas, St. Leonard and Blessed Arcangelo Canetoli. This painting was started by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta and finished by Domenico Maggiotto.
Français : Eglise San Salvador à Venise - Autel de saint Nicolas - Il a été initialement dédiée à Saint-Nicolas, en 1751 et a été reconstruit après un incendie ayant eu lieu dix ans auparavant, qui avait détruit le Barco dessus de la porte principale. Le retable montre un tableau représentant Saint-Nicolas, Saint-Léonard et le bienheureux Arcangelo Canetoli. Ce tableau a été commencé par Giovanni Battista Piazzetta et terminé par Domenico Maggiotto.
