A series of shots, it will take a while to load them all, about our last camping trip. We awoke to two large male salties having a slight disagreement about turf. The night before, the boys reckoned there were no crocs in the river. I proved right. One, I would guess at close to 18 feet, and a smaller one, maybe 16 feet? The light was low and there was some distance involved, so the earlier shots were lacking detail. Later I snuck up the bank with the 70-200 zoom, these are better. These boys play rough. Sorry about the lack of order but Flickr doesn't seem to be good at arranging a series of shots? The fight went on for hours, the noise was amazing, echoing up and down the waterhole. I guess the big one won, but who knows, the smaller one was tenacious. The big one had one foot missing, I dont know if it was a previous injury, or the smaller one had already "tasted" victory? |
