Description
English: Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class (SW) Christian Sherman from Findlay, Ohio, demonstrates proper donning procedures for an inflatable life preserver to sailors from the Nigerian navy in a portable classroom aboard USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). The Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock-landing ship is on a scheduled deployment in West Africa in support of Africa Partnership Station West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa that aims to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
