Description
English: SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 21, 2016) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class (SW/AW) Joshua Dingman, from Lorraine, New York, gives a thumbs up to the davit captain to inform him that the boat crew is ready to be lowered into the water on the starboard side of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Dingman, as the boat’s coxswain, is in charge of the boat and crew. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
