Description

The parlor at Sagamore Hill, Theodore Roosevelt's home, in 1973.

The flag hanging in the back is the special Army presidential flag, designed in 1898 and used until 1916. This is the color, a ceremonial version with a fringe, and is from 1908 as it has a 46th star added at the bottom. Roosevelt was given one as a gift at the end of his term as president; this is presumably that flag.[1]
