Title
STS072-304-025 - STS-072 - Preparations for second EVA of STS-72
Description
The original finding aid described this as: Description: STS-72 crewmembers prepare for second extravehicular activity (EVA). Mission Specialist Dan Barry adjusts the boots of Winston Scott's extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) suit (005). Wearing a white liquid cooling and ventilation garment (LCVG) and the EMU lower torso, Mission Specialist Winston Scott smiles and give a thumbs up (006-010). Inside the airlock, Scott checks out and prepares to don the hard upper torso (011-012, 015-016). Mission Specialist Leroy Chiao, also wearing LCVG, checks out an EMU glove (013-014). Chiao and Scott peek out of the airlock during a pause in their preparations (017). Scott now wears the hard upper torso and the black and white communications carrier assembly in the airlock (CCA) (018, 020, 023-024). Chiao also wearing hard upper torso and CCA (019, 021-022, 025). Barry assists Scott in donning the EMU helmet (027-029). Barry also assists Chiao but blocks the view with his arm (026). Good portrait view of Chiao wearing helmet (030). Outside the airlock, Barry communicates procedures to the suited astronauts using comm unit (031, 034). View of fully suited astronauts in airlock wearing mini workstations and numerous space tools for the EVA (032-033).
