Summary[edit]

Description
English: A STARS-1 (modified Polaris A3 missile) rocket rests at the Kodiak Launch Center Launch Pad 1 while covered with thermal blankets. This rocket was launched on February 24, 2006, as part of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense program, and was successfully tracked by the Beale AFB radar system during the exercise. Target data, including a weapon task plan (firing solution), was successfully transmitted to the Joint National Integration Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. where it was inputted into the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communication system for the Ballistic Missile Defense System.
