Description

Иван Греков. Середина 18 века. Великий князь Александр Невский и князь Феодор (с видом Александро-Невской лавры). ГТГ.

В верхней части иконы изображены князья Александр Невский и его старший брат Феодор, над ними - Новозаветная троица, апостол Петр и святая Екатерина, тезоименитные святые императора Петра I и Екатерины I. В нижней части - Александро-Невский монастырь (до 1755).

Внизу иконы помещена пространная надпись:

Благословил Троичный Бог Месту сему быти.
Зримым же Горе святым тезоимениты.
Высокославнейший Петр и Екатерина
Россов честь и похвала обое едина
Благословение то делом исполняли.
Александор с Феодором помощь подавали
Их же и телеса зде пребудут во веке.
Благодатны верным всем изливая реки.
Да лиют же паче всех на Елизавету
и наследников ее в чудо всему свету,
Что родителей своих дел нет оставляет
И свою к Месту сему Маеть продолжает.

Source Own work
Author Иван Греков (годы жизни неизвестны). Упоминается в документах 1753 года как вольный художник, выполнявший театральные декорации. По его рисунку была исполнена конклюзия Стефана Любомирского, посвященная императрице Елизавете Петровне, которую гравировал А.Ф. Зубов (1743).
