Summary[edit]

Description South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley stopped in Marion County, South Carolina, Oct. 14, 2016, during post-flood recovery assessments with U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Robert E. Livingston, Jr., the adjutant general for S.C., to assist the town of Nichols after Hurricane Matthew's rains caused flooding that inundated the area. Haley toured the town in a S.C. National Guard Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) with agency leaders to support Nichols' Mayor Lawson Battle, to discuss the town's ongoing support needs. While there, Haley stopped to thank first responders and S.C. National Guard Soldiers who were supporting the efforts. (U.S. National Guard photo by Lt. Col. Cindi King)
