| Description | Thin section of a reddish aplite dikelet in coarse-grained granodiorite from NE of La Bardinie, Nontron, Dordogne, France. The grey quartz grain in the center shows fluid inclusion trails, the microcline on the left with characteristic twinning is heaviliy sericitized, the alkali feldspar on the right shows beginning subgrain formation. A few small biotites can also be seen on the right hand side of the slide. |
