Engine size: 350cc Engine Type: Single cylinder, 4 valve Maximum speed: 60mph "This motorcycle was built at the very large Rudge factory in the Spon End area of Coventry. Its engine has two inlet valves and two exhaust valves which is unusual for its day. The four valves enable more petrol to enter the engine through the two inlet valves and can escape quickly through the two exhaust valves. This means the engine can go quicker than a normal engine with a single cylinder that would only have one inlet and one exhaust valve." Coventry Transport Museum, UK. 2009 |
