한국어: 정조는 사도세자의 능을 양주에서 화산(화성)으로 이장한 후 현릉원(隆健陵)이라 이름 짓고 자주 능을 참배하였다. 원래의 능행길은 과천길이었으나 길이 험하자 여 안양을 지나는 시흥길로 바뀌게 되었다. 능행길은 1백여 명의 악대를 비롯한 말과 가마가 줄지어가는 어가행렬은 행사 인원과 내 외빈을 포함하여 그 수행인원만 6천여 명에 달하였다.
한편 능행길에 불편하자 1795년(정조 19년) 경기 관찰사 서유방이 3개월의 공사를 거쳐 그 해 9월에 만안교를 완성했다. 구조는 아치형의 홍예석교로 수문은 7개에 홍예석이 11개의 반원형으로 치석되어 조립되었다. 교량의 총 길이는 35.55m 너비는 8m 높이는 4.61m이며 만안교 옆에는 보호각 안에 정조가 '萬安橋'라는 이름을 하사했다는 내용의 만안교비가 세워져 있다. |
