Description
English: Illustration in graphite of a rope ferry on Pennsylvania's Schuylkill River by James Fuller Queen on April 27, 1856. Note hotel and outbuilding (rear), sailboats and steamboat, and two men with rifles and dog (shoreline). The U.S. Library of Congress has included the image under its subject headings for ferries, boats, marine terminals, and rivers in "Pennsylvania--Philadelphia--1850-1860."
