Description
Español: El matrimonio forzado del Quijote francés y la infanta española; grabado de Romeyn de Hooghe caricaturizando la pretensión de Felipe V al trono de España, que aparece como doncella con el nº 1, se ve asediada por un cardenal (Portocarrero) que ha urdido un falso testamento (3) preparando su matrimonio con el Quijote francés, caricaturizado como arlequín (4). En el tondo, sobre la chimenea, Barcelona atacada por mar, lo que explica el texto francés por la decisión de su primo (Carlos) que desde oriente acude en defensa de la doncella y ya tiene "la Catalogne" en tanto Valencia y Aragón quieren reconocer con ayuda de Inglaterra y "des Païs Belgiques". Impreso en Bruselas, en 1706, adaptando una caricatura anterior, fechada en 1688: La belle Constanza dragonée par Arlequin Deodat". Ámsterdam, Rijksmuseum
