English: A miliarense of Magnentius, from the figures decorating the margins of Moll's map of Rutlandshire (now Rutland), sold separately and as Map 25 in his Set of Fifty New and Correct Maps of England and Wales... The illustration is a reengraving of Figure 20 in Tabula II Nummi Romani from William Camden's Britannia, Vol. I, page 98.

Obverse: DN MAGNENTIVS PE AVG [Camden's DN MAGNENTIVS·PE·AVG·, both intending DN MAGNENTIVS P F AVG, Dominus Noster Magnentius Pius Felix Augustus, Our Lord the Devout and Fortunate Emperor Magnentius]

Reverse: VICTORIAE DD NN AVGG [Victoriae Dominorum Nostrorum Augustorum, Of the Victory of Our Lords the Emperors] and VOT V MVLT X [Votis V Multis X, With the Vows for Five Years' Prosperity Completed, More Vows Have Been Made for Ten] and P AR [Pecunia Arelate, Money Minted at Arles]

Camden's notes state: "20. This coin, inscribed DOMINUS NOSTER MAGNENTIUS PIUS FOELIX AUGUSTUS, seems to have been stamped by Magnentius (whose father was a Briton) and designed to ingratiate himself with Constantius, after he had conquered some public enemy. For the characters DD. NN. AVGG. i.e. Domini nostri Augusti, intimate that there were then two augusti, or Emperors. The words VOTIS V. MVLTIS X. witness that the people then solemnly prayed, that Emperor might flourish five years, and multiplying that number, with lucky acclamations unanimously wished him many ten years. And this is farther made out by that passage in Nazari the Panegyrist, The quinquennial feasts of the blessed and happy Caesars possess all hearts with abundance of joy; but in the appointed revolutions of ten years, our eager vows and swift hopes are at a stand. The letters P. AR. show this denarius to have been stamped at Arles."

An example of a similar coin of the same issue held by the Museum of Fine Arts Boston has a 23 mm width and 4.3 g weight.
