Description
Deutsch: Alte Sebastiankirche in Roisdorf, Stadt Bornheim, fotografiert in NW-Richtung von der Gasse namens Pützweide auf die denkmalgeschützte Turm-Fassade (traditionell der Westbau, hier aber wegen der ungewöhnlichen Ausrichtung die SO-Seite); die Kirche (benannt nach St. Sebastian) entstand in zwei Bauabschnitten: das Schiff 1874 bis 1876 durch Heinrich Nagelschmidt, die Turm-Fassade 1896 / 97 durch Johann Adam Rüppel (* 13. Januar 1864 in Weibersbrunn, † 1. Januar 1930 in Stockstadt am Main)[1]. Das Schiff wurde 1980 abgerissen. Die stehengebliebene, um einen kleinen Chor ergänzte Turm-Fassade dient heute als Jugendtreff und als Glockenturm der neuen Sebastiankirche, die nahe der Haltestelle Roisdorf-West auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Clarenhofs steht (Hof der Kölner Clarissen, das Pfarrheim nennt sich deshalb St. Clara).
