English: (1 in a multiple picture set) If you have seen the mighty Colorado River in the Southwest as it flows through the Grand Canyon and down to Mexico, you may have a hard time believing that this is what it looks like just miles from its birthplace near Lulu City above Grand Lake, CO. I'm always amazed when I see our mightier rivers as to how they get so much water even during dry periods. It is a matter, I guess, of thousands of little streams and creeks adding their pittance of water along the way until a bunch of littles add up to a lot. A moral there? |
