The Rocky Ford Dam and power plant buildings, Manhattan Kansas

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Rocky Ford Dam and power plant buildings, Manhattan Kansas. Hydroelectric and gas-fired steam power, under operation by Kansas Power and Light. Photograph by US Corps of Engineers in 1944, in survey for the Tuttle Creek Lake.[1]

Note the filled in half-windows on the roof line of the stone building; these are the result of reconstruction after the fire of 1919 that destroyed the roof.[2]
