Description

ladigue_99 and I came upon this strange little rock in Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument. At first I thought that somebody had propped it up on those stilts as a joke, but it soon became apparent that this wasn't the case.

I don't know how many thousands or hundreds of thousands of years it took for the underlying rock to erode away, leaving behind this monument to time. It makes me shiver just to think about it.
