O nome Rocha do Navio provém do naufrágio de uma escuna de nacionalidade holandesa que ocorreu no século XIX, em consequência de ventos fortes. A reserva foi criada em 1997 para evitar a degradação progressiva dos recursos pesqueiros provocada pelo uso de redes de emalhar e de explosivos. Esta Reserva está integrada na Rede Natura 2000. |
