The illustration more than likely predates the source for this image, namely, A History of Theatrical Art by Karl Mantzius (1903). However, even if this is not the case (which is unlikely), Mantzius died in 1921. The book was first published in London; copyright in this image would have expired seventy years after the death of the author, making this PD after 1991.
Public domain

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 80 years or fewer.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 80 years: Mexico has 100 years and Jamaica has 95 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term.
