The illustration more than likely predates the source for this image, namely, A History of Theatrical Art by Karl Mantzius (1903). However, even if this is not the case (which is unlikely), Mantzius died in 1921. The book was first published in London; copyright in this image would have expired seventy years after the death of the author, making this PD after 1991. |
