Notes The Chinese imperial family and male members of the bureaucracy all wore beautifully embellished dragon robes like this one. The striped hem and design with nine dragons among the clouds are typical of these garments. These once exclusive robes were sought after by Europeans after the Qing dynasty fell in 1912.
