Description
English: A Mongolian river, with large boulders and relatively high flow rates, splits into numerous branches (furcations or white water). With every flood, the barren sands between the branches of the river are shifting.
Deutsch: Ein Fluss in der Mongolei mit einer hohen Geschiebeführung und noch relativ hoher Fließgeschwindigkeit, der sich in zahllose Flussarme zwischen ausgedehnten Sandbänken aufspaltet. Diese Furkationen nennt man Umlagerungsstrecken oder auch Wildwasser. Bei jedem Hochwasser werden die vegetationslosen Sandbänke verlagert.
